Big Cup Coffee Event

Join us for an extra special Coffee morning, 9am-10 am this Friday 25th September in the Early Years Hall. We are taking part in the Big Cup Coffee Event to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support. There'll be home made cakes and biscuits (contributions welcome) as well as freshly made coffee and lots of tea too.

We will be looking back on the highlights and successes of last year's events and fundraising and planning the calendar for the coming year. Please come and join us each Friday for our Celebration Assembly at 2.45pm. During the Assembly we will be celebrating success and achievements of children from either Foundation and Key Stage One or from Key Stage Two - we will endeavour to notify you on a Wednesday if your child has been nominated for a Headteacher's Award.

Arts Week 2009 was a huge success for all concerned and a wonderful way to round of the academic year. The children enjoyed dance, cooking, stories and model making as they explored this year's theme of India. Thanks to all the parents who were able to help with the many activities that went to make up a truly memorable week at Clapham Terrace.

Please join us at 2.30 pm in the Main Hall for our Harvest Festival Assembly. This year we are collecting tinned goods to support the Salvation Army drop in centre. They particularly need: tinned rice pudding, tinned fruit, tinned spaghetti, tinned potatoes, tinned meat, pasta.

Wednesday 9th and Thursday 10th of December will see our Foundation and Key Stage 1 Christmas production take place. The performances will be at 9.30 am and tickets should already have been allocated. If you haven't recieved your tickets please speak to your class teacher or the office and make sure you don't miss one of the most popular events of the Christmas calendar.

On Friday 11th December from 6 - 8pm we will be holding our Christmas Fair. There will be lots of games, stalls, refreshments and fun to be had along with a raffle and of course a visit from Santa Claus himself. We have invited lots of new stall holders to attend this year including Jewellery makers, card sellers and Christmas wreaths and garlands.

The Christmas Disco will be held on Thursday 17th December from 5.30 - 7 pm. We will round the term off with festive music and all the usuall fun and refreshments. Years 3, 4, 5, & 6 will be putting on a performance for the whole school of Rats! Performances will be held on Monday 28th June as 1.45 pm and on the evening of Tuesday 29th June from 6.30pm. Tickets are now available - your child will be bringing a letter home to request tickets.

Y6 pupils will be spending the day at their secondary schools and our new Reception pupils will be visiting us. YR-Y5 will be ‘moving up’ for the day to meet with their class teacher for September. Children will bring home a note informing you of their new class teacher on that day and there will be an informal opportunity for you to introduce yourself to their new teacher on our whole school Open Evening on Wednesday 21st July.
