Warwick District Council will be coming into school to work with Early Years and Key Stage 1 on Tuesday 30th November, during their craft week. They will also lead a whole school assembly on the day and give away some free goodies to all of the children. In addition, they will be parking a van at school and distributing free recycling containers at the the end of the day.
Each child will bring home a Recycling Newsletter, textile recycling bag
and a battery recycling bag. They will also receive a recycled pencil.
Unfortunately due to weather and ground conditions we have now decided to postpone the Sponsored Run until the Spring Term.
We are extremely sorry and understand that many of you will be disappointed but as we are primarly concerned for the safety of the children we hope a ‘Springtime’ Run will be a better option. Children can bring their sponsorship forms into school for safekeeping until the run, or if preferred may keep them safe at home.
We have noticed that several children are dropped off at school very early in the morning. Please can we remind you that children are not supervised until 8.45am and therefore should not be left unattended prior to this time.
As December swiftly approaches the glitter, tinsel and Christmas carols are already beginning to make appearances around school. Next week the Hall will be decorated and on Friday 3rd December we will be welcoming the Mayor to Clapham Terrace to officially unveil the new HSA playground clock at 2pm. It should be an exciting start to the Christmas season and Years 5&6 will be rounding the week off with their Class Assembly at 2.30pm.
We look forward to welcoming all our volunteer helpers for F&KS1 craft activities. To down load a full copy of the newsletter click here.
Our before and after school club is available for children from 8 am until 6 pm. Sessions start from £3.50. For more information visit our page or call 07813006964 for more details
Because of the warm and welcoming environment and the good and sometimes outstanding teaching, children behave well and develop positive attitudes towards learning. - Ofsted Report, Feb 2010
We have a strong support network of staff and parents who are dedicated to raising extra funds to buy the things that school budgets can't stretch to. From redesigning the school library to making over the playground the HSA (PTA) are always on the look out for new fundraising ideas.
