Year 1 and 2 Family Afternoon Tea

In the summer term our history topic for year 1 and 2 will be ‘My Family History.’ As part of this topic we will be holding a family afternoon tea on Wednesday 19th April at 2pm.
We would love to have lots of family members joining us, especially those from older generations where possible e.g. Grandparents, Great Aunties/Uncles.
The children will be preparing some delicious treats to share with their guests and writing some interview questions to ask them about their childhood memories. If any of our guests
have memories/mementos/artefacts such as old photographs, toys or books they’d like to bring in to show the children this would be lovely. During the afternoon we’ll also play some
traditional games, create family trees and explore atlases.
Families come in all shapes and sizes and we are looking forward to celebrating family history together with you all.
