Our Aims

At Clapham Terrace Community Primary School and Nursery we are committed to creating an outstanding, happy and secure learning environment in which the uniqueness of each child is recognised, respected and valued.

At Clapham Terrace Primary School we believe that children’s learning is at the core of everything we do. This is reflected strongly in our aims statement:

“Clapham Carl - Caring, Achieving, Respectful, Learners

  • We expect all our children to care for themselves and each other.
  • We strive to ensure that everychild achieves their potential.
  • We teach children to respect themselves, each other and the environment.
  • Learning is at the heart of all we do.

CARL is our school mascot, he sits in our school hall and is part of every activity we do as the values he stands for run through our whole curriculum.

‘Children at Clapham Terrace Primary are calm, engaged and positive with each other and about their learning.  There is a distinct sense of cohesion, clarity and purpose among all staff. The school nurtures and supports every child, regardless of the level of need.’

Why we love Clapham Terrace

It's lovely to be able to watch my daughter in her school environment and to be a real part of her education. It's also great for the children to have their parents so involved in school time. - Parent of child in EYFS

Fundraising at Clapham Terrace

We have a strong support network of staff and parents who are dedicated to raising extra funds to buy the things that school budgets can't stretch to.  From redesigning the school library to making over the playground the HSA (PTA) are always on the look out for new fundraising ideas.
