Parent's Meeting

•  Held on the 14th September 2009, the meeting was well attended and very positive - reflecting on the journey we have taken so far in addressing the key recommendations from the Ofsted inspection and outlining the next steps in our journey towards ‘Outstanding’.  Thank you to all those parents/carers who have been able to attend this meeting and Class Information Meetings during the past two weeks.
• Good ideas have been shared on how we can develop a stronger, really effective partnership between school, home and the wider community and first steps are already underway in several areas. We welcome your continued suggestions for on-going improvements (via class teachers/the Office).
• Improvements to communication are a priority for us and a new school website is now accessible at:
  www.claphamterrace.info and our new H.S.A. website at: www.claphamterrace.org

Both sites are still evolving so please bear with us while we continue to add information, news and letters etc. If there is anything you feel could be added to the pages please let the staff in the office know.

Rockets Meeting – 8th October, 2009

A meeting to discuss the change of Rockets (our breakfast and after school club) to a limited company will be held on the 8th October at 7.30 in the Early Years Hall. A letter has been issued to all parents/carers who use the provision and anyone with any questions is invited to attend the meeting.

Foundation Stage

You may have noticed that the fence between the main playground and the Early Years outdoor classroom has now been replaced. The outdoor classroom is set up each day ready for the foundation stage to use as part of their teaching and learning and therefore could we request that the equipment is not used whilst you are waiting to drop off or collect your child/children at school.

Safeguarding

Thank you to all of the parents who have come to the office and completed applications to be CRB checked – we are now looking for volunteers to help us dig the Early Years Garden. We would really like to develop this area so that the children can utilise it and maintain it. If you are interested in helping to prepare this area please pass your name to Mrs Beniston in YR or the School Office. Thank you!
