Latest update from School

22.10.2009

Year 6 have had an exciting week at Marle Hall in North Wales – we shall look forward to hearing all about their residential when they are back in school next week. Hopefully we will have a full report posted on the website soon. (www.claphamterrace.info)

A big thank-you to all of the parents/carers and pupils who have worked wonders in transforming the gardens – the school site looks fantastic. The staff and children very much appreciate your hard work and your time.

We have recently also sent out our first Community Newsletter to the residents in our local area and have already received some very positive feedback from residents nearby. If there is anything you would like us to put in the Community Newsletter for future distribution please let us know. We aim to send another newsletter out after Christmas.

We are sad to announce that Mrs Brittain will be retiring at Christmas after 9 years at Clapham Terrace. We are however, fortunate that Ms Scarff will be able to continue in her role as Year 5 Class Teacher for the rest of the academic year.

Next week we will be assessing your child’s progress towards achieving their individual targets. We appreciate your support in working together with us to ensure that your child makes good progress.

We are also asking for some feedback please down load the full newsletter here - which includes a form for your comments.

Why we love Clapham Terrace

Fundraising at Clapham Terrace

We have a strong support network of staff and parents who are dedicated to raising extra funds to buy the things that school budgets can't stretch to.  From redesigning the school library to making over the playground the HSA (PTA) are always on the look out for new fundraising ideas.
