New Parent Governor appointed

15.12.2011

Thank you very much to those who put themselves up for the role of parent governor, and to the many parents who voted in the election. It was a close ballot, but the winner was Priscilla Conway, whose children are in Nursery and Year 1. We are very happy to welcome her onto the governing body for Clapham Terrace.  To see who the other Governors are please visit "Clapham Terrace School Governors"

Governors hold the following meetings:

  • Full Governing Body Meetings, usually once a half term
  • Learning Performance and Standards Committee which looks at all matters relating to Learning and Teaching in our school
  • Learning Resources and Finance Committee which looks at the development of the school site, our budget and other financial matters and at all staffing issues
  • Working Groups which meet periodically and focus on a particular brief e.g. writing an Anti-Bullying Policy, communications and marketing, school meals
  • Complaints / Disciplinary Committees which meet whenever necessary to consider a complaint made against the school

If you would like to contact any of the Governing body then please leave a message with the school office in person. You can also email governors@claphamterrace.info

Teachers are fabulous!  Each term we have a great topic to help us with our learning. - Jamie in Year 5

Fundraising at Clapham Terrace

We have a strong support network of staff and parents who are dedicated to raising extra funds to buy the things that school budgets can't stretch to.  From redesigning the school library to making over the playground the HSA (PTA) are always on the look out for new fundraising ideas.
