On Wednesday 19th January, Mrs Bailey and children from Clapham Terrace joined up to 60 000 pupils across the UK to perform the National School Sport Dance in a bid to get the Government to re-think its school sport funding cuts. Through the Sport Partnership we receive vital funding, training and equipment to enhance our provision of PE.
The event was organised to raise awareness and was also a world record attempt to get the most people together to simultaneously dance. It took place on Wednesday at 20 minutes to 12 because it was 555 days until the start of the London 2012 Olympics - with 555 representing SSS (Support School Sport).
With all of the proposed government cutbacks, as a school we are now looking to our local community for any useful resources which will support our curriculum delivery - for example paper or card ‘off-cuts’, materials for modelling and construction. If you know of any local contacts or are aware of potential resources going to waste please let us know. To download a full copy of this weeks newsletter click here.
Our before and after school club is available for children from 8 am until 6 pm. Sessions start from £3.50. For more information visit our page or call 07813006964 for more details

We have a strong support network of staff and parents who are dedicated to raising extra funds to buy the things that school budgets can't stretch to. From redesigning the school library to making over the playground the HSA (PTA) are always on the look out for new fundraising ideas.
