This term we are learning about Victorian Leamington along with Year 5 but we have also been on an exciting residential to Marle Hall in October. During the week long trip we experienced gorge scrambling, rock climbing, abseiling and canoeing. We had a brilliant time and we've been told that we were a credit to our school which made us really proud.
Children will read in a group guided reading session twice a week in school led by a teacher or support assistant. Teaching staff will write comments on progress in the children’s reading diaries but these guided reading books are not sent home. Instead we ask you to support your child to read their individual levelled reading books at home; these are changed in school every week on a Friday. It is expected that parents sign and make a comment in the reading diaries every week.
Monday – Literacy is issued to be handed in on Friday
Tuesday / Wednesday / Thursday – Numeracy to be marked on Friday
Wednesday – Science is issued to be handed in the following week

I love Clapham Terrace because it is a nurturing school that values diversity and community. Ruby has made lots of friends and so have I. Staff, parents and children work together to create a lively and fun place to learn. - Parent to Reception pupil
We have a strong support network of staff and parents who are dedicated to raising extra funds to buy the things that school budgets can't stretch to. From redesigning the school library to making over the playground the HSA (PTA) are always on the look out for new fundraising ideas.
