How to Get in touch

Rounders Team

Children from year 5 and 6 have been selected to be in the rounders team following a competitive try-out. Congratulations to them! The team will be taking part in the Leamington Competition in June 2018.

Children from Years 1 and 2 took part in a gymnastics competition at the Warwickshire Exhibition Centre.  They performed the floor routines they had been practising at school and tried out the amazing gym equipment.

Clapham Terrace came 4th out of 13 schools. What a fantastic achievement!

Playground Leader Training

The Sports Leaders have received Playground Leader training by Ali Knight from Campion School, who has won a national award for the School Games Organiser of the Year 2017!
From now on, once a week, different games will be led by the Sports Leaders at lunchtimes, aiming to get children active for at least 20 minutes. Watch this space!

Clapham Terrace Football Club has over 40 members from Key Stage 2. The team is coached by Miss O’Kelly and Mr Rockliffe and has secured some impressive wins this season!

Cross Country

Year 6 pupil, Abigail George, led the way this term in every single race of the primary school cross country series, claiming a top of the podium spot in all four runs.  This means she was crowned overall champion for 2017, something a Clapham pupil has never achieved before in the 36 years the competition has been running.

Clapham Terrace has a thriving lunchtime cross county club for Years 5 and 6.

What is PE and Sport Premium?

The Government provides additional funding for the provision of physical education (PE) and sport in primary schools. This funding is allocated to primary school Headteachers to spend on improving the quality of sport and PE for all their children.

Schools receive PE and Sport Premium based on the number of pupils in years 1 to 6. The Government determines how many pupils attract the funding using data from the January 2017 school census. Funding for 2017/18 is £16,000 with an additional payment of £10 per pupil.

Sports Day 2017

Our annual Sports Morning proved a huge success, it was rather chilly but excitement of the event kept us warm.  The results were very close with only 24 points between all the houses. Dragon and Unicorn shared first place, scoring 129 points each. Thank you to all of the parents who came and supported us.
